Sunny Garden

My garden is not the biggest you will ever see, infact compared to most, its more like postage stamp size, but I love it.  Here I share a few photos:

This part of the garden gets the sun in the morning, and becomes shady in the late afternoon.

The kids corner which gets the sun all day.  The swing seat is a lovely place to sit at the end of the day where you can enjoy the evening sunshine.  Broccoli the Bunny has managed to get in this photo
The pond still needs finishing off - hopefully soon, and afew more plants to be added.

Its Riccall Carnival this weekend, I have displayed afew of my felt goodies in the village church.  There will be stalls, face painting, rides etc at the village community centre.  Sunday sees the village green open to a live singer, we are going to take a picnic - hopefully lots of photos next week
Whatever you are doing this weekend - I hope its a sunny one.....x

Come On England

I must admit, I am not the world biggest footy fan, but Henrietta wanted to make flags today.  She is still off school from her operation on Monday - we made some cardboard flags to hang outside the front porch

Here are a few more photos of our week:

Henrietta rec'd some go-go hamster babies for being so brave after her grommets/adenoids operation on Monday.  She really does amaze me at times.  She was pretty ill all day Monday, but by Tuesday morning and 3 rounds of toast later she was back to her normal self.  We arrived home before dinner time and she spent all afternoon on her bike - kids really do bounce back.

Please note hair-dresser sister that your nephew has started wearing Henrietta's hairclips to keep his longer than long hair out of his eyes.

Broccoli on the trampoline - she can just manage to reach some of my plants if she sits on the trampoline - a very cunning bunny.

Sports Day

The sun came out just in time for The Riccall Primary 2010 Sports Day.  What a wonderful afternoon.  All the kids did brilliant. Henrietta and Charlie were both in the purple team.

As you can see, Henrietta had her pot removed last Thursday.  She is still unable to straighten her arm fully, but the doctor says this could take up to 3 weeks.  She is going back into hospital on Monday morning for her 2nd lot of grommets and her adenoids out.  This means packing an over night bag for both of us, as she has to stay in hospital on Monday night due to her having surgery.  Cant say Im looking forward to sleeping on the hospital campbed, and its always so hot on the childrens ward.

Just a few more photos before I sign off and enjoy this morning's sunshine.  The other day, Charlie had a chocolate biscuit and decided to paint a chocolate moustache onto his face:

I forgot to post this photo when writing about Charlie's Star Wars party.  Charlie wanted to do 'Pin The Lightsaber On Yoda'  I was unable to find any such thing, so decided to draw one for him.  I coloured him in with Henrietta's coloured pencils.  I thought he turned out quite well - the little marks on the picture are where the kids pin'd the lightsaber - as you can see, they do tend to cluster around the hand, I think some cheating was going on there.

Hope you all enjoy your weekend, whatever you are doing.  We are going round to my friends house tomorrow - she is having a Butterfly Tea Party to raise money for charity.  Hope the weather stays warm.  I may not post for a while now, as we will be sat in the hospital for the next few days.
