What a fab weekend we had. It was Riccall Carnival, lots of things to do and see. As parking is pretty limited up at the community centre, the organisers put on a double decker bus to pick up the villagers and take them to the fair - what a brilliant idea.
Henrietta wanted her face painting, by the very talented Dawn Smith
Who turned my daughter into a beautiful .......................

Also at the carnival were some gorgeous vintage cars, Charlie liked the little red bubble car - and who could blame him
The weather was just perfect, which meant lots of villagers
My friend Helen had a stall selling her wonderful Phoenix Trading cards. These are just the most beautiful cards you can buy. Visit her here to see more: www.phoenix-trading.eu/web/helendrye
Charlie won what I thought was an owl on the raffle - he quickly informed me it was a baby penguin, still not convinced.
On Sunday, we packed up a picnic and headed for the village green, where there was a live singer, rides for the kids, drum playing - dont ask, you can just see my two in the bottom left of the photograph - Charlie has an orange top on and Henrietta has a black vest top on
The kids really enjoyed themselves, it was such a wonderful weekend. Its great when the village comes together like this - I really cant imagine living anywhere else.
You look as though you all had a brilliant time and how great that our British Summer is playing it's part at the moment. So many things are spoiled if the weathers bad.
ReplyDeleteGlad the visit by our Bubblecars brought a few smiles!
