OK, the garden wasnt exactly looking nasty, but the new fence was about to go up, so no point in starting anything until James has sorted the fence.  Here is the garden a few weeks ago.  My neighbour had cut all her 6 foot trees down, hence could see into everyone's garden - not my cup of tea, I like my privacy

So after the new super fence went up - the garden looked like this:

I placed roll log edging round the lawn, and reseeded where it was bald.  The pond still needs finishing off at the back, but that could be as late as the end of the summer, hence I couldnt wait any longer, filled the pond, added plants, then kids picked some wonderful fish yesterday - they are now swimming happily in their new home (the fish, not the kids!)

Also a treat for me, a wonderful metal lizard for the new fence - I love him.

Scarey Hair

Kids played out as soon as they had dumped all their school items on the door-mat.  First on their list of things to do, the trampoline.  Ours does tend to give them scarey hair though, I think it must be something to do with the safety net.

Our rabbit - Broccoli was enjoying the sunshine last week.  Here she is sitting in our empty pond.
The pond has now been filled:
Plants in - check
Fountain in - check
Fish in - oh yeah, now I knew there was something we'd forgotten.  Buying some fish at the weekend - hopefully.  Will show you pic's later.

A Super Duper Day

Woke up this morning to yet more sunshine, how I love Spring.
Me and the kids went to Sundown Adventure Land near Lincoln.  A brilliant time was had by everyone.

I Took The Handmade Pledge!

I actually took the pledge ages ago, just forgot to post the link

A Treat For Me

I don't often treat myself, so when I saw this little Scribble Book from Emma Bridgewater, I knew I just had to have it. Its empty at the moment, but I am going to transfer some of my ideas from my old scribble book into this nice new posh one.

A Month Between Posts

I am a bad blogger, it has been a month since I last posted - bad bad blogger.
Reason:  been very very busy with wholesale orders, kids, housework etc etc.

Easter was great, lots of chocolate, dare not approach the bathroom scales at the moment, maybe I will feel brave in a few days time.  Hope you all enjoyed your Easter Break.

Kids are now on school holidays, but on the last day of term they had to decorate an egg to take in to school, here are the results - Henrietta made a rabbit and used the egg box as the garden.  Charlie made Luke Skywalkers X-Wing Fighter (with a little help from Mum).

SewHip Magazine

SewHip Magazine contacted me the other month, asking if they could use some of my emebellishments for the May issue - I jumped at the chance.  Couldnt wait for the issue to arrive on the shelves - and here it is, in all its glory
